Ninja Terminology

Daito: Wooden training sword used to teach baby ninjas the way of the katana.

Geisha: Japanese courtesan skilled in the arts of (non-sexual) entertainment. Sworn enemies of Ken Watanabe.

Katana: Long-sword traditionally used by samurai. The use of a katana takes years to master given its weight and length.

Koto: Musical instrument involving strings stretched across a board. The use of a koto takes years to master given its near-extinction and length.

Ninja 37: The Ninja’s friendly rival and equal in the arts of awesomeness. Has a tendency to drink copious amounts of coffee and call himself the Dance Commander when inebriated.

Ronin: Rogue samurai who serve as mercenaries.

Shuriken: Small throwing-star, usually with four or six blades. Can be both thrown and used in hand-to-hand combat. The most famous ninja weapon.

S-Rank Escort Mission: One above T-Rank Escort Missions, and one below R-Rank Escort Missions.

Wakizashi: Shorter stabbing-sword which complements the katana. Used in close-quarters combat where longer swords are unwieldy.
